Hiking in Acadia
With 125 miles of hiking trails and 45 miles of carriage roads, the best way to see Acadia is by foot. Whether it's a strenuous ascent up the Precipice Trail, or a pleasant stroll through the woods to Compass Point, Acadia has hikes for everyone. We've got water so you don't get thirsty, snacks so you don't get hungry, and guide books so you don't get lost.

Sunsets at the Saltair Inn
You don't have to go to the top of Cadillac Mountain to see a beautiful sunset. In fact, you don't even have to leave the back yard. These are a few photos of the sunsets we have enjoyed here at the Saltair Inn. Whether you choose to gaze from your private sitting room, the second floor balcony, the rear deck, or the Adirondack chairs by the water, the show is "wicked gawjus".

Ships in the Bay
Ships of all sizes come to Bar Harbor, and many of them find their way to the waters behind the Saltair Inn. From lobster boats to luxury yachts, watching them cruise through Frenchman Bay is one of our favorite spectacles. And yes, that's a helicopter on the back of that boat.

Weddings
Here at the Saltair Inn, we are very pleased to be able to host intimate wedding ceremonies on the shore of Frenchman Bay. It's a special place to enjoy your special day, and we are honored to be a small part of it. Check out our friend Beaver at Big Day Foto if you're looking for a great photographer. Seasons in Acadia
Downeast Maine is a special place with four truly distinct seasons. Acadia comes to life in the Spring, flourishes in the Summer, explodes with color in the Fall, and relaxes in the Winter. All four seasons are special in their own way. Here are some of the photos we have taken in an effort to capture that feeling all year long.
